How we got your address, and what we do with it
Written plainly, because "we value your privacy" tells you nothing.
Where it came from
Your published business email address, from your own profile on your firm's public website. Nothing hidden, nothing bought, nothing guessed from a name pattern.
Alongside it we hold: your name, your firm, the city your office is in, your professional licence number where your firm publishes it, and whatever your own public profile says about the kind of clients you work with and the languages you speak. That last part is how we decide a program is likely to be relevant to you rather than mailing everyone.
Where a profile showed a professional licence number, we checked it against the relevant public licence register to confirm it was current — status only. Some registers publish mailing addresses and ask that they not be used for mass mailing. We respect that: we take nothing from them but the status, and we have never mailed an address that came from one.
What we do with it
Send you a small number of emails about a program we think is relevant, and stop when you tell us to or when you do not reply.
We do not:
- sell, rent, share or transfer the list to anyone;
- track whether you opened a message — we use no tracking pixels, so we do not know and cannot tell you;
- pass your details to the companies whose programs we represent unless you ask us to;
- try to reach you by any other channel because you did not answer an email.
Links in our emails carry a code that tells the program's operator the signup came from us. It identifies the message, not you personally.
How to have it removed
Unsubscribe, reply "no" to any message, or write to partners@robinland.io. We act within one day and the removal is permanent — the suppression list is checked every time we rebuild from public sources.
You can also ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Same address.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to remove it, or until it stops being useful — whichever is first. Suppressed addresses are the exception: we keep those permanently, because that record is the only thing that stops you being contacted again.
